The last time someone used white letters on black tires, the cops had him on cross country chase. Eventually ended with his apprehension and ruin the Ford name for all of us. Thanks O.J.
Spline style lugs for the Rotiforms. You have to use a smaller diameter lug with those particular wheels.
Rotiform SIX OR Bronze 20x9 wrapped in 35x12.50R20 General Grabber X3. They're gonna look great on the Ruby Red truck they're for. I'll get some pics of the truck next week.
i have always stuck to "machined face" on my truck wheels because im afraid of the chipping that might occur on the painted wheels. Is that an issue or are there improved ?
The modern machined wheels have a clear coat over the machining so that can chip as well. Not as noticeable when it does but it will eventually peel. Paint in general seems better than it used to be but powder is still ideal for durability.
Sorry if that came across that way. Most aftermarket and OEM wheels are painted. I was just stating the obvious in that one could always powder coat for better durability. But 99% of wheels that aren't custom built or a custom finish are painted.
Its all good! Im always thinking about new wheels but im on dirt gravel roads all day, everyday. I had a set of black TSWs on my SUV and after many rock chips I started getting water bubbles then the paint just started falling off. I know TSW is not made in the USA anymore but these things failed in like 1 year. Been shy about anything other than "machined" ever since. I appreciate the info you guys provide - please keep up the posts!
