Has anyone replaced the steel bolts on Method wheels with dark titanium or anodized grey ones? Looking to replace EOM 17th with possible Method NVs but don't want that much contrast. Pics welcome if you have NV or Grid wheels.
thanks or quick reply. i was talking more about the one on the outside edge. they are just for looks on a fake beadlock.
First, those METHODs are awesome looking. Good work. I THINK despite they’re “fake” I believe the bolts are still removable. If that’s the case, google titanium rim bolts and choose the retailer you’re comfortable with. Swap them out and hit the road. If they’re machined right into the face of the wheel (which I don’t believe they are and would unnecessarily add a bunch of time to the production process) and kind of a silly way to go you’ll have to talk to a shop that specializes in powder coating, possibly anodizing, or someone who specifically does wheel repair. They might be able to help. Good luck. I’m very particular myself so I know how you feel. Great looking wheels. http://www.dubcfasteners.com/category-s/232.htm Here is an example of what could work. Heck, call Method and see what they say. A lot depends on how they make the wheel.
thanks, yes they are removable. I've sent a note to Method but haven't heard back. Trying to decide between the Grids in the previous post or these?
Tikore doesn't offer anything and where I bought my rim/tire package gave me a whopping 10% off the lugs... big whoop...
Yeah 100% agree. I really look forward to meeting the Raptor owner that says “check it out...Titanium Lug nuts” lol
Not really looking for the lugs but rather the bolts on the outer edge of the wheel. Don't actually want real titanium or plutonium or anything expensive, just don't want the bright stainless
Found my answer. Looks like Method recently added these. https://www.methodracewheels.com/collections/bolt-kits/black
