Ticking From Passenger Side

Does anyone else hear a ticking noise from the passenger side on cold start up?

 

I believe it's normal on cold starts

 

Everything I start it cold it ticks. Goes away once it warms up

 

sounds like a exhaust manifold leak, not right

 

yup. well documented that there is a cold start tick, it goes away in 15 seconds or so. Personally, I am not inclined to let a tech start digging around looking for it. I can see that becoming a rabbit hole in a hurry....

Mine does it for 10 or so secs too and goes away n turbos kick on n sound fine. My 2 cents.

 

So.... other places are referencing a loose PCV to be the culprit. This is located under the engine cover, and under another foam/rubber isolator. Tighten that and you are good.

 

this is long and last 10 min or more, but is very faint or gone if I shut it down and restart it it does not have a set pattern. just wondering, I believe it is an electronically controlled noise and is normal but not a 100% sure
