These high flow turbo exhaust adapters replace the factory adapters on 2011 – 2017 F150’s, Expedition, Navigators and Raptors that have the 3.5L Ecoboost engine. These larger adapters will maximize flow, greatly reduce exhaust backpressure and help to lower Exhaust Gas Temperatures. The outlet is 2.3125″ ID compared to the stock outlet which is 2.0625″ ID. These high flow adapters will directly bolt on to the factory turbo and any other “drop in” style turbos that will accept the stock adapter. These will work with the factory downpipe or any aftermarket downpipe that bolts up to the factory adapters. http://5startuning.com/product/2011...-3-5l-high-flow-turbo-exhaust-adapter-adpt35/
Looks like people are starting to play with different exhaust configurations now that most early build trucks are out and about, what do you guys think of trying to make this better? Is it better after all to leave it stock and deal, or embrace the sounds that this engine produces. Here is someone running dual Carven 3" R mufflers and no resonators. Talk about it!
Im still having a hard time believing those dyno numbers reflect just replacing the oem exhaust adapter..
A little turbo video I found, I wonder how red hot those snails will get when your really whomping on it.
