Im always talking about this beast lol, lots of protection going into it first. Never had anything this expensive.
These are VenomRex 20's, with 325/60/R20 K03's. Brakes are from R1 Concepts, 6 piston front, 4 piston rear.
Nice truck...is that PB? I noticed Hudson, WI. I’m in Minneapolis. If you are looking to do an XPEL PPF wrap, skipchips in Minnetonka MN did my 2018. The film has done a great job in keeping the paint perfect. They did a full wrap on my truck using clear.
Yeah im out of Southeastern MN. Hudson had the best deal. Im looking at going with sun control for ppf for the Ultimate package hood, fenders, mirrors etc. I would do whole truck but man thats pricey. Ill be getting ceramic coating from tipp top in Red Wing, they have really good pricing.
just curious - i've been around PPF since 3M first started making it for cars 18 years ago. I have never heard of Solar Control. It looks like they have been in the Window tint business for a while and now they are making PPF. Have you seen other cars they have wrapped ? Up close? the biggest difference in films is not durability it is CLARITY. My first 3M PPF install I had done in 2008 tuned yellow within 2 years. I am not saying dont do it just do your homework its a decent amount of cash and it sucks taking it off. My Raptor is wrapped in XPEL Ultimate - so is my 7 year old Edge Sport. Both still look great. That said the Edge is black so a little yellow won't show. It will look awful on a lighter color if it yellows. good luck.. https://exclusivedetail.com/best-paint-protection-film/ ps - to be clear I am no giving 3m a hard time - in fact they have made significant improvements in protection and clarity and remain one of the leaders in PPF.
I actually just found out that tipp topp detailing has xpel today lol. So i will most likely go with them since i planned on them doing the ceramic as well anyway
