Im curious about the internals of the the new motor, I have heard it the same block as in the current ford GT. Cant find anything on the engine parts, forged pistons?, forged rods? how much boost its running with the stock turbos or how much it could handle safely with the stock motor. Maybe you guys could shed some light on these questions. Thanks Im a newbie here, own a few fords from svt, got my order placed on a raptor last week.... so I wait now.
Not sure all the differences from the GT, but main ones are different turbos (upgraded from the 17 3.5 EB). Most components are upgraded actually. Boost is 17/18 I believe and also has direct injection combined w/port injection. Including the frame/components, there were 400 upgrades to 17 F150.
Different pistons w/ lower compression to handle the xtra boost, 2 piece oil pan part composite to reduce engine noise. There's a clip on the Ford web site that explains some of the changes.
