I have a 2018 SCREW and I want to change out my bumpers. Many of the aftermarket pieces I've been looking at are nice to see, but I have reservations about the ALUMINUM skid plates they often come with.

Has anybody changed bumpers yet? Do you have aluminum skid plates? How well do they hold up, once you actually start Skidding on them? Etc. etc. etc....

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

@Gregory Hoeve the aluminum that is used on the aftermarket bumpers is generally 1/8"-3/16" depending on the builder, plenty strong to protect the underside in the truck in 99% of situations you may find yourself in. Some companies like ours do offer a thicker skid plate upgrade if the design allows for it.

Or you could always have a custom bumper made to meet your needs.
