Can someone who now has a Gen 2 Scab with a factory hard folding cover tell me if the cover sits on top of or between the rails? Do you have any clue as to the manufacturer?

    Hello,

I have a SCREW. Factory tonneau. It sits on top of the rails. 3 hard sections. However... BEWARE. It does not work well with the bed extender. The handles to pull and release the tonneau to open it are obscured by the bed extender folded up on each side.

Thanks Guy - enjoy the truck. I've heard the cover that sits on top of the rail is an Advantage and supposedly has problems leaking.

ive the hard folding on mine.. its the REV (rebranded Bak flip but sold by FORD with a 3 yr warranty and ford badging ) sits nicely between the rails flush. Ill get you some pics. I had the drains installed - 4 clear tubes in all 4 corners - even with a pressure washer stays very dry..

it should - its the only hard folding cover box you can check when you build the truck online. Im wondering if they used the above the rails cover on "GUY" truck because he had the bed extender and they knew the b/t the rails would not fit.. just a guess..

Thanx VT. Those are nice pics! I didn't order bed extender so maybe I'll get the REV.

On another matter, I'm not tech savy. Yea I still use a flip phone. When I do get my truck maybe you would be willing to explain how to show pics on line - you'd have to start with the basics for this 69 yr. old fart.

I'm not installing the drain tubes this time. My last one I drilled thru the rubber cut outs in the front of the bed to put those in and never got a drop of moisture in the bed. Don't think the drain tubes did shit

    Interesting...

Nope mine doesn't look like that. And the tonneau is "ford factory" and is on the sticker as an option. Was ordered with the truck. They must have two versions... and it must be the bed extender issue like you said... as it is... it's VERY crowded to be able to get the tonneau off with the bed extender folded up. Can it be done? Yes. But you don't have any room to be able to pull the spring loaded handles down. It takes some finesse. I didn't order the truck, but if I did or had hingsight.... I would have gotten the bed divider only and left the extender out.

Just my opinion, but I don't like the covers that stick above the bed. That's the first reason I started looking at BAK FLIP.

I have a new F1 waiting to go on because I've had a few of them and never had an issue with them, good product IMHO.
