Looks like the new Raptor is going to be awesome.......and animated.

Come on Ford, use real video footage. Buyers are not six year old, even though some of us act like it. We do not want cartoons to keep us informed of current/upcoming events.

There is a ton of other info hidden in this video. Just need a clearer copy so we can read the smaller text.

Looks like front bumper ends are detachable like the Jeep Wrangler.

Interesting - not only do they show the front bumper coming apart, but also the rear.

This from the press release that accompanies the video -

"The toughest, smartest, most capable F-150 Raptor ever gets a specially developed set of BFGoodrich tires that improve both on- and off-road performance while increasing comfort.

Raptor’s all-new BFGoodrich all-terrain T/A KO2 tires were developed in parallel with the truck’s chassis, so as the platform developed, the tires changed along with it. Ford and BFGoodrich engineers went through more than a dozen variations to ensure the tires matched the extreme performance expected from Raptor. Hundreds of hours were spent using computer simulations to predict how the tires would react in real-world driving situations."

Ford is implying that the KO2s were designed specifically for the new Raptor, but I'm going to say that's marketing BS - I mean, 'developed in parallel' just means 'developed at the same time'.

I'm still curious about the difference between the almost identically sized metric and flotation tires that Ford seems to interchange randomly on the prototypes. I asked BFG and couldn't get an answer out of them. Foutz uses the floatations, though that may be a random choice as well.

Just out of curiosity, but every disclaimer I see says "pre-production model shown." How much change happens between the pre-production model and what we'll see on dealership showroom floors?

At this point not much will change if anything for the production model. They say that just in case they do need to change something.

Who ever made the decision to make that horrible CG video needs to be fired. That video somehow managed to make me loose interest in the vehicle. Marketing fail.
