Another area you might have the dealer check is the Third Brake light housing in the top rear of the cab. I recall that seal can be improperly installed and cause leakage at the rear of the cab...that might even get the rear of the headliner?
Do not have a musty smell yet, but my 17’ raptor is in the dealer because i noticed hearing alot of water inside my doors moving around (Happened after alot of rain). Originally the dealer was saying a drain vent was clogged, but they called and said it looks like water is leaking in from somewhere but cant figure out where yet. Well its been a week and havent heard much but will update when i know more.
Got my 17’ back from dealer and they claim water was leaking in through the sunroof seal, had alot of rain this week and did not notice any water, but now the inside smells very musty, back at dealer because of how strong the smell is. 17’ with 7,500 miles,
Ugh. Yeah mine still has a trace of the smell after every rain. Goes away but always comes back. NFG They said i had a rubber plug missing in the firewall and tried to blame me because of my rigid lights. I told the geniuses that the wires are factory run inside. It had been much better than before but but perfect so you may want to check that out.
Also have rigid lights installed, but all factory wires used, will check that spot also because my firewall lining was damp
Mine has a musty smell when you first get in it then it goes away. More so after rain or sitting a long time. Haven't noticed any wet spots. I think its coming from the vents but its getting worse. It's strange, I am highly allergic to mold, and it smells like mold but its not giving me an allergic reaction. I had to sell 6 month old ford Excape because the AC would fill with mold, so bad I couldn't breath or see. Ford said to run the heater on high before you turn off the car. that didn't work. So I sold it. With that car no one other then me could smell the mold. Now with this Raptor I brought with 2,300 miles on it. I starting to wonder if it was in a flood. Currently I auto start the car whenever I can, and I have a air fresh spray I keep in the door. Thank for the heads up I'm gonna check the sun roof and back light.
I had a leak at the fire wall through a seam that did not have enough seam sealer. Found the underside of my weather tech floor mats had heavy condensation. The carpet was saturated and smelled very musty. I pulled up the carpet on the pass side and it was soaked. The dealer sealed the seam. They had the carpet detailed and steam cleaned. Carpet is dry and no smells. It has been 03 weeks. will update if it changes.
I have a 2019 and the smell is so bad I currently have it in the shop for the seckond time (browns ford Amsterdam ny) the first time they said they couldn't find it and just shampooed the carpet they just told me that someone spilled something in the back so I left work early to see what was "spilled" and all they did to investigate the smell was pull up the pc of plastic in the rear doorway and they pointed to the carpet and said there it is and I couldn't see anything so I ripped apart the outher side and asked why it was wet on that side too I drug the floor mat into the showroom and poured water on it to eliminate that having a hole in it we went round and round then the shop manager came out and said that it is obvious that something was spilled in the back driversside so I said fine why is the floor wet on the passenger side and I proceeded to take out the front plastic mat and told him to smell that floor and asked him do you think something was spilled all over my $70,000 truck with 10,000 miles or do you think that we have a bigger problem so it is currently still there they are taking out the interior bc I cant have my kids sitting in a truck that smells like mold I will be going into the shop myself later today to see if they have found anything I will let you know
