http://truckyeah.jalopnik.com/it-s-still-a-ford-though-i-m-a-firm-believer-in-brand-1789682708 Article from the driver of the video above. Sounds like he was really impressed with the road ride.
I thought that was my truck until I saw the seats, lol. Not sure how many miles he drove but my 13 FX4 eco doesn't get 15 mpg unless I'm in town babying it. on the highway I'm lucky to get 14. And I'm sure he drove it harder than I will on a normal road trip with the 0-60 runs. Come on Ford, ship us our damn trucks!
Right off the bat in that video with the simulated noise, I watched a video a while back of someone simply unplugging the module in a Focus RS. I aint no fool and don't appreciate paying 90 grand for a truck so ford can play sounds through the speakers to make me feel better. I will be rectifying this problem with custom turbo manifolds, downpipes, y-pipe and exhaust cut-out.
I'm OK with the interior sound. It's the sound from the outside I'm not happy about. But fir me I rather make this thing quiet. I'm all about a loud V8, but not a V6.
I know what I'm about to say may be considered blasphemous to many truck enthusiasts, but I care more about performance than sound. If I have to sacrifice the V8 rumble to get more HP, torque, and fuel economy in my dream truck, then I'm ok with it. I guess I won't lose any sleep over it, and with that new TT V6 sound, neither will my neighbors.
I'm with you, not saying they should have stuck with the 6.2. Just would prefer the silence over the rice burner sound. Then again, I haven't heard one in person.
I completely agree! It's hard to say but in the end, do i want to pay for sound or action?????? After i put the sound system upgrade in i won't be able to here the exhaust note anyway, Bigfoot on the gas:

You are right, I slip around town all the time in my Buick GN even with its larger pipes and louder mufflers. It sounds pretty good but of course a V-6 will never sound like a V-8. I have an early Bronco w/ a built 351 Windsor and Flowmaster 40's and it just barely passes the sound test at the sand dunes. My son just sold his Mustang Fox body street/strip car, it was so loud you couldn't wait to get out of it.
just ship the dam thing already!!! we all have dissected the truck from front to rear and back again !! SHIP THE FUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
