Interesting bit of news i caught here:http://truckyeah.jalopnik.com/what-do-you-want-to-know-about-the-2017-ford-raptor-1789608398 Looks like media will be getting their hands on the truck finlay come up next. On that note, there'll be a lot of info flooding the market shortly there after as everyone will want to be the FIRST to release more information. So, starting a new Thread just for new media released info as a place to consolidate the info and who's put it out. I'm already noticing multiple threads in multiple places that are overlapping info.
Follow up to my first post, I did send Andrew an email! We'll see if he comes back with any info: Hey Andrew, I caught your article posted: http://truckyeah.jalopnik.com/what-do-you-want-to-know-about-the-2017-ford-raptor-1789608398 Nice to hear there’s a Media day coming quick and hopefully then some movement of information and delivery of the trucks that are sitting waiting to be shipped. That said, some information that would be great to have: · Besides the obvious, every single little detail we can get on this Master Piece of Sin · Why have the 2017 been held up for delivery? o Lots of info on build dates and pictures of parking lots of trucks just sitting · Why the lack of communication? o Communication has been lack and that’s an understatement o No one knows when the truck is hitting the market o No one knows why the hold up of what’s been built o Customers aren’t being communicated their delivery dates yet they can confirm the truck has been built o Pending customers have their orders pulled but have been waiting weeks to get a build date and vin#’s (I’m in this boat at the moment) o There was a complete lack of marketing build in the media of the Raptor running Baja and updates during/post race by Ford. One would have thought all of the attention on this truck would have been a give me for them in terms of marketing.
It'll be great to finally see Production trucks and current pictures! I noticed this morning that the Ford Raptor website is now missing some previously post pictures. The first few trucks in blue are no longer up. I also noticed the interior pictures now are mostly with the 70's gold trim (not a fan) and the more grey trim isn't in the pictures any longer. Should be interesting to see the final product we already bought sight unseen........
One of the high lights I really liked, In Baja mode there is a anti lag turbo system in the programming. Loving that.
Hey Kris, Just had a chance to see the video and you beat me to posting it, HA! Anti lag turbo, sweet!!!!!! The Ford guys should have paid someone to do their presentation, good lord! Now to stay awake to see the first posting after the on road drive they're on as we type. I doubt i'm going to be focused enough to get much real work done tomorrow. I'm going to be constantly checking for updates while they're off-roading it tomorrow during the day..................
Good quotes : I'm confident once you drive this engine you won't think about a V8 again and shipping as we speak! I hope he knows what he's talking about. And that first quote makes me believe they are not thinking about putting a V8 in the Raptor next year
Thank you for the recent vids. We are all starving for information at this point !! who the hell ever gets a ETA that has had a truck built for over a month and has been bouncing from ramp to in production and back please post as soon as you can. then the rest of us can start hounding our dealers for a REAL ETA!!
