Hi. Was surfing the interweb and ran across this site. After reading some of the forum posts and giggling at the statements of some users, i decided to make an account. I am a 25 year Ford Employee. I started my career at Wixom Assembly and am currently working at Dearborn Truck Plant (home of the Raptor). Some vehicles I have personally been involved in assembly : Lincoln Town Car, Continental, Mark 7, Mark 8, LS. Ford Thunderbird (final 2 door body style) FORD GT. 2004 model Ford Mustang (including GT500,SHELBY,and all other specialized models, Mazda 6. F-150 I will be skimming the site on occasion and trying to answer some questions.
Welcome dan , we are all looking forward to your input here. We have been kept in the dark regarding our trucks as it relates to why trucks haven't been shipped yet some which have been built for nearly 2months. Hence the reason for speculation and the rumors that are so wide spread. Again welcome
Thanks Dan, does that mean we are all good now and the raptors have OKTB and will begin shipping? Ford has stated they intend to have all trucks currently being held out to dealers by the end of the year. I was fortunate enough to take the rouge plant tour over the thanksgiving holiday and I can attest there are a lot of trucks waiting to be shipped!
So I am assuming they are all good to ship since a dealer in Virginia has pics of 2 of them on his lot.
Dan, thanks for your post. My question would be are the first builds retrofitted the same way the ones coming off the lines now .are they basically the same truck ?
I'm calling BS on the first Raptors going to China. If a bunch of Chinese had theirs already we would be seeing pics/vids. That being said I have no faith in anything you post.
Not saying I believe anything I read online these days, but that said..... I'm in the wine business here in Canada and ship from Australia and New Zealand regularly. If in fact there was a batch sent to China, the reason there are no pics or video is it takes almost 2 months for the cargo to get there and they are still in their sea cans on board vessels.
Thanks dan Can you expand what exactly were the 10r transmission issues and what was the fix And snow I wish it would snow here
