Just wanted to check in and hey hello. Ordered my Raptor yesterday! Waiting to hear back for a better ETA. How's everyone doing out there??
Welcome! There is this boat called, "The Waiting Boat"...most of us been on it for awhile now. Congratulations on the new family member. Let us know what you hear about the updates of delivery and what not.
Haha the waiting boat. They told me to expect around late February / early march. I'm not too torn up about waiting. We've already agreed to trade terms on my current truck and the winters here are pretty rough on vehicles. One less winter on the new truck sounds like a decent deal to me! Here's a question that might be silly, but what plant are raptors assembled?
There are two to my knowledge that someone briefed awhile back. Obviously one in Michigan and the other one is somewhere else. You're going to look further into some of the posts here, but honestly I don't remember. FRF is another site that stays pretty active with updates and what not. You should check it out. I am the same way with the waiting. I don't mind the wait as long as I can save some money. I am currently away from home so there is no need for it to be sitting at a dealer when I am not home to drive it.
Dearborn is the only plant that is making the raptor that I'm aware of . There is another plant in Kansas City that makes fords as well. Hey intell if that truck comes in ill be happy to drive it as my daily driver while sits in the garage all nice and cozy. You probably got some Cush assignment in Italy or some shit anyway so someone might as well use the dam truck while your gone!!!
Thanks for the info! I was just curious. what's this crazy stuff I hear that some dealerships charge over sticker?? Screw that! These trucks are expensive enough as it is!
Deal. You keep the engine warm, I'll get the grids to your fishing spots As of Friday, my contact in NY said she can't promise anything but she will talk to the production manager and see if they can push my production date earlier. That was Friday. I'll see what Monday has. And I wish I was in Italy now. This place I am at is getting out of control
Some folks in here says that some of the dealers they dealt with are asking for a house payment just to get one. Ridiculous. I personally know someone who was quoted at 10-15k over MSRP. It's a nice truck, there is always someone with money that will buy it.
Geez! That's crazy. I was bummed enough that they aren't eligible for A-plan pricing let alone paying even MORE... but you're right. Someone will buy them. My dealership didn't even make me pay a deposit. Just ordered it with my name on it and said if anything happens where you can't take delivery, we'll have no problem selling it anyways. I definitely expected to put something down up front, but hey I'm not complaining! Lol
I hate that boat, I ordered my Oct 6th. The dealer isn't telling me anything. This is my forth truck with them, they should have something by now.
