I haven't gotten around to it yet. I am in the process of compiling an exact list of what I want to do and what codes need to be entered and in which modules. I was afraid if I did it now it would expire before I make the attempt. I know when I googled it there were links to renewing so I am fairly certain it can be done. If not, I will make another email address and do it that way. I have access to an email server so that is not an issue. I know there was no cost when I signed up with either email address before. I wouldn't expect it to be any different with a renewal. Maybe someone else can chime in on that.
Just an FYI, I was able to renew an old user, 1 of 2, in forscan and get the extended license again without any fee. Correction: I had to purchase a 1 year extended license. (10 bucks) The one I downloaded for free was actually a standard one. Just found out when I went out to the truck to save all my as built data.
Those of you that removed the fake engine noise, did you experience any issues with your radio afterwards...as in much lower volume levels for music?
No sir - in fact just the opposite. Once the fake noise is turned off the amp and speakers no longer had the drain of providing fake noise so I feel like the music sounds better / clearer / louder.
Excellent, thank you! I'll be turning that off today then. The global windows don't seem to work all the time either....a little frustrating, but I'm sure it's user error.
I didn't like the short hesitation at a light. Never knew when a diesel jack ass was going to try and show off.
Yes I did. It doesn’t tilt automatically. When you put it in reverse you have to push the button in the top right quadrant of the mirror adjustment area. Works great.
forgive me if this has been asked already, but is there anyone in Orange County, CA that has the FORScan setup that would be willing to do some mods to mine? For a fee and beer of course
Is it best to wait until all warranties are expired before doing any mods? Im sure Ford can say, " oh look at that you messed with the computer nope not covering anything computer related"....
agree with Vikes. besides these are not warranty kinda items - turning off the fake engine noise or turning off the double honk when you get outta the truck with the key is your pocket is hardly going to effect the warranty. A software tune is a different story. Depends on what happened and how the dealer chooses to "deal" with it..
