So been messing around with FORScan and my OBDlink MX (bluetooth version) So got the DOUBLE HONK gone and Got the fake engine noise turned off. Have not done the windows down / up with the remote but will get that done this weekend - been distracted by 2.5 feet of fresh snow this week. SO - what do you need for these mods - pretty easy. the OBDlink MX (amazon 79.99) A login and password to the FORScan forums - FREE A FORScan extnded license from FORScan - FREE for 2 months Most of this has been covered in Raptor Forum #1, FORScan forum and F150 forum but thought I'd get things going here. I'm no expert but its pretty simple. Follow directions and go slow.. Dont change anything unless you are SURE and keep a backup.. Happy to help anybody who has got questions..
How much was everything needed to make these changes VT I am willing to pay someone in Dallas area who can do this
the only cost was the 79.99 for the OBDlink - and some time and research - everything else is free... and im happy to help anybody walk thru it. If you really want some these changes buy the OBlink MX windows version. Some say the IOS version is not as reliable ? I only know what i read.. I got the bluetooth / windows version and seems to work fine.. Then go onto FORScan forum and get a password and login.. I can help you from there..
this is what i bought - https://www.amazon.com/ScanTool-426101-OBDLink-Bluetooth-Professional/dp/B006NZTZLQ with this you get a "regular" license.. After getting a login and password to FORScan forum i was able to ask for an "extended" license. i honestly dont know why all the silly license shit but - IS WHAT IT IS.. i requested and within 10 minutes got my 2 month free trial extended license. Then i went ahead and did my changes. I have done this before with audi/VW but it was a more expensive buy in - 249.99 to buy a cable with a license.. anyway - this is not hard and like i said happy to help a fellow brother. drop me a line..
I might finally get some time tomorrow to do this. I'm all set up, just a little hesitant, but I guess once I plug it in, it'll be pretty self explanatory. I've read the intro enough times..... hold my beer, I got this.
I'm gonna give this a try. I bought the Bluetooth OBD link, and requested a password on the FORScan forum. Just waiting on activation, and then will request a license. Want to turn off the Piped in sound, and the auto start/stop.
So I got the software and everything connected/working. I looked at the spreadsheet with all the codes and features but did not see one for the Fake engine noise. What Module/Address and bit do you change to disable it? Scratch the above question... I found it: ACM 727-01-01 xxxx x0xx xxxx thanks! Jason
Had some owners from Texas on the phone the other day to help them with the FORScan - hope all went well ?? As to JB74 above - i do not know a reliable way thru FORScan to disable auto start/stop. So far I have 1 - disabled double honk when you get out of the truck and fob is on you. 2 - Disabled Fake engine noise and will never put it back - i like the quiet cabin and the Audio sounds better. 3 - I have added the Secure Idle - when you get out of the truck and its running and the Fob is with you if anybody got in without the Fob you cannot put the truck in gear. 4 - added the engine temp and transmission temp. I still want to add the Global windows but needed more time - there are 3 or 4 perimeters that need to be changed. REMEMBER GUYS to do a save file for your ORIGINAL scan before you do anything - that way you can always go back to the beginning. Then I have saved a file after each mod so if something goes wrong I will know which mod was the culprit. Good luck, be safe..
Auto Stat/Stop: this works; Tried it and no more Start/Stop and switch is deactivated. Still looking for a code cheat sheet: by module and what codes activate/deactivate.
