The internet is good for something besides porn ;). i won't take credit for the article but thank Ford and Sony for not changing shit since 2015. I went ahead and did this and Voilà! So fucking glad that works and so tired of dealership charging for every fucking thing. They were gonna charge me 2hr of service to do in software and they wouldn't guarantee it saves when they update every time. This is hard wire so its perm until i wire it back or not.

So how much of a difference is the engine sound without the fake noise? I've grown to like the exhaust sound when you get on it with the back window open, so I would say that's not the piped in sound.

huge for me. if you have after market audio the sound is unbearable thru the speakers at low frequency. sounds like a frieght train inside cab. now im back to nice and quite only true radio sound thru speakers.

Personally, i don't think it's bad and i don't think i have the same issues Blackhole is having. (Hopefully he got in yesterday to get the sound system fixed).

On the same token i know it's a fake sound and that's what annoys me the most!!!

In reality I normally have the music up so loud it doesn't really matter (accept when the wife is in the truck with me and i'm stuck listening to her crap).

Now that the weather is getting nicer and i have the door windows open, i'm starting to pick up on the sound of the whistling turbo's. Now if i could get that sound turned up just a hair (not the stupid Subaru amped up) would be nice.........
