The dealers I talked to prefer a customer order it so they can have exactly what they want. But they only get so many allocations like mentioned above, and they won't wait forever to order them. So if their allocations are gone, they are correct you can't order one. So you need to get ahead of the game and order early in the production year. I recommend you talk to your dealer and tell them you want to order the next time they have allocations and get put on the waiting list. Ask for an estimate date and follow up when it gets remotely close to that date. My experience is if they know you are serious they will call you. Shit, get on several dealers waiting lists. And when you order make sure to have a sale price written up with a signature on it. Don't want it to arrive and have a $10k surprise.
