Just wanted to drop this in this thread as a potential help to someone if they have the same issue I did. In the video, you can hear a pretty loud metal on metal grinding noise, and that's with the windows up. I took it in the shop, and got the run around for a week (and I have an elevated status with the dealership, as that is where I buy all my company vehicles). First they thought it was tire noise (total bs), then they thought it was the tent I had on the back (also bs). Then they said that some of the Raptors are coming out of the factory with low fluids (also said there is a new recommended fluid) in the transmission, so they changed the fluid out, and it persisted. When it was all said and done, it turned out to be a cracked front hub on the passenger side. The symptoms were the loud metal on metal grinding noise that you can hear in the video followed by a bump (like running over a small speed bump), and it would go away for a short period of time. Like I said, only putting this on here in case it happens to anyone else...maybe you can save yourself some time.
I think I have the same issue. Weird metal grinding noise then a bump. Almost like dragging metal on the ground then seems to go to the back and then bumps. Like going over a speed bump. Crazy. I noticed in your video your going 70-80. Same with me. Slight gradual slow acceleration and it happens. If you accelerate fast it does not. Also happens around 50. Also slight uphill right sweeping turn. Dropped my truck off at the dealer tonight just before closing.
Thanks for posting this. I'm hearing the same noise coming from my front end. It sounds like ball bearings in a blender. I do have a 2.5" leveling kit on the front, installed by the dealership. Taking in to dealership now.
We are having the same exact problem with our 2018 Raptor with 14,600 miles on it. What was your diagnosis??
I am just curious has your problem been completely fixed now? We are experiencing the same thing with our 2018 Raptor. It does it at such random times and have not been able to get it to do it when taking it to the dealership. Hopefully we can show them this thread and it will be something similar to your problem. Thanks! Dave
