i saw reference to some of the body panels of the 2017 Raptor being composite / fiberglass.
I've looked on Ford's website and only find references to aluminum.
Are there any composites used in the bodywork of the Raptor outside of possibly some trim?
    Thanks!

Thank Nex - I'm really only interested in the Raptor not the regular F150. Raptor has different body panels and I would just like to confirm that they are Aluminum rather than a composite.
Mind you I have no concerns over either technology - just curious..

Taking a look at the screen capture below - even this forum title may lead the reader to believe that there are Fiberglass fenders..

No idea actually. I just think it is a cool video - the truck owns that whimp with a sledge hammer!

Anyway - couldn't tell you. I don't have a delivery date, let alone a delivery date. And I haven't seen one in person since the auto show in '16.

I believe the front fenders are composite that's all, but I've been wrong before.

We went with fiberglass on the title because that's what we read in the news about the 17s.

Trust me, rear fenders are aluminum. Here is mine with 800miles on it after a drunk soccer mom hit it while it was parked. The aluminum ripped. Whole bedside has to be replaced. Luckily they bolt on now not welded, unlucky is that the bed has to be removed and since Ford sprayed liner over the bed bolts.... 20170217_135930.jpg

And that's why I had my bedliner done after I picked it up.

Sorry to hear the bad luck man.

Oh, I knew Ford would spray the bed mount bolts but I thought who cares? Not like I am going to put a body lift on it. And thought why would I take the bed off? Grrrrrr....and thats what I get for assuming and not thinking long
Cant have anything nice. I had it for not even 2 weeks, got the window tinted and left the tint shop in SC and drove it 600 mile road trip and parked it in a parking spot and 2 days later its smashed. It totaled the drunk's car who fled leaving a trail of debris and was caught.
I will say even when its dirty like this the magnetic looks clean. 20170209_122124.jpg
