We drive 70% of the tine on highway, rain, black ice, ice and light snow covered roads and some deep snow as in 1-2 feet of snow or deeper drifts for the most part. Then we do quite a bit of beach/soft sand or powdery sand & the rest is very rocky trails in the San Juan's and gravel roads to 2 track roads & hit Moab 2-3 times a year. Have 42k on the stock BFG KO2's now and looking at replacing them before winter sets in. What does the hive mind think between these 2 tires?
I debated the same thing. Ultimately I went with the BFGs for 2 reasons. The ones that are factory for the Raptor are 50 some bucks cheaper a tire and I've put almost 90,000 miles on KO2s with no complaints.
had 2 sets of duratracs on my gen 1 and now have a set on my gen 2. Love them don't give two shits about road noise care about performance in the friggin snow and decent manners on dry roads as well. My 2 cent.
So you are saying duratracs are better in the snow? And also louder on the highway? Where were you 6 months ago? Lol
