12V accessory socket

    Anyone install a 12V accessory socket in the bed?

    nope, but I am waiting on 2 more factory bed lights to mount on the corresponding flat spots in the front of the bed. Pretty much what the factory shoulda done...

    Yes...on my 93 F250. Make sure to use large enough wire. I used 8 gauge. Use a fuse close to the battery for the positive. Ground to the frame to make the run shorter. Also use a marine grade 12v outlet. You can find them at West Marine.

    Get the "Southwire Voltage Drop Calculator" app, it's free. You input distance of the run, volts and amps. The app tells you the wire size.
