Great post!!!! This is also why i waited until September to take the class and learn more about my truck first. Get comfortable with the truck and then go learn really how to use it. I'll make the drive from DFW out there, chance to stop and play along the way in Moab and the CO Mtn's......... Doesn't sound like they use the offroad track in the back of the property that the Lucas Oil circuit uses...... Bummer, was hopeful to get a little hang time on that course..........
Awesome. Thank you for the full report. I am now even more pumped to go. Really was expecting a much larger dose of cheezeyness.
Thank you for the detailed description. I'm waiting on my 2017 Magnetic SCREW, and was looking forward to the Raptor Assault. Do you - or any other reader - know if we can take someone (e.g., my daughter) along for the ride, or is the package strictly for purchaser? Thanks in advance!
you can NOT take any person with you on the day of the drive. They make that point very loud and very clear when you sign up and sign waivers, etc.
I'm waiting for vikes to swing down to Colorado and pick up intel and myself and head to raptor assault.. those retired military guys all have big ass motor homes!!
So to answer your question, a guest may come with you to the dinner reception the day before the event however not the day of the event is what I understood. Hope that helps.
I just attended the July 4-5 Assault program - too much fun to do justice in a forum post. If you bought a Raptor - you're a fool if you pass on this opportunity. Amazing times, great learning experience in your truck's extensive capabilities and how to better manage them (without spoiling it and showing exactly what to expect here's a screenshot from a video taken from the passenger seat looking out the sunroof at the ground while on a 30 degree side bank, the truck handles this no problem while staying firmly planted). Instructors are great and you get the opportunity to ask those who work with Ford Performance engineers about all the rumors you've read online.
Thanks, again, for detailed information online and in person. Have you done the Utah Raptor experience yet? Waiting to get truck and then will set up trip.
[QUOTE="So you mention the engineers and addressing rumors, spill the beans!!!!!!![/QUOTE] One thing they may not mention in every session is Ford Perfomace does recommend the SPD Turbo Adapters and admits they out-perform stock. This info came from a question raised during the class. The rest I won't spoil but make sure you tak advantage and ask as many questions about the truck as possible.
