This is a truck that in near factory form finished the Baja 1000 ? This is a truck designed to get air born and land without a whiff of rubbing or bottoming out and you want to spent $6,000 to improve the suspension ?? May I ask what benefits these new front / rear shocks and spring have over the factory units ? I am not trying to be difficult - I REALLY WANNA KNOW.

They're black and red, they have shock coolers, and they look really cool (to me). I appreciate the advice on what to throw my money at, but you're answering a question with a question. The benefit question you pose just advances my original question of intel and thoughts, I have no idea the benefits, that's why I asked the internet for some possible answers. To further help you understand my intents and purposes I enjoy tinkering with things, the truck may not NEED anything done to it. That is not what I am asking nor something I would argue. Lastly, I have a truck and a car for daily driving and road trips, neither of them needed anything done to them. I tinkered with them because I can; a tunered lifted truck makes me smile more than a stock one and same principle for my car. I got the raptor to be an air conditioned closed cab rzr not a 25/75 50/50 dirt to asphalt vehicle. I'm sitting here asking for information my man, not pretending like I'm a SME, this is not my lane. That's why I'm asking the questions. Thanks for the response.

Well, to split the difference here:
To VT's point, this is the most capable truck potentially ever built for the masses. What does it need? Nothing really.
To your point, these trucks were built to be tinkered with and personalize. Most owners do and for me i do question at times the "Why" would you spend the $ for diminishing returns?

Hey, you like the set up and you want to spend it on your baby, who are we to say no. Go for it!!!!!!

For me, i've been looking at all kinds of mods and maybe i'm just at a point that i ask why i'm i doing something to a $70k truck that does more then what i'm going to ever put it through on any bases.
Will i add some lights for when i'm out remote and doing some serious back country driving, sure. Overhead light Bar, no. They are counter productive. Will i do some tuning? Yes! No i need to add mega power and Trq? No, the trucs major limitation is the tires that are rated for 106 mph. So investing in capability that will never be realized to me is pointless.

Back to suspension set up. Thought about it, what am i trying to fix or change? What do i give up as a result of making the change?

There's always a trade off, there's always a point of diminishing returns.

It's your truck, do what you want with it. Are you really getting something more out of your truck for the money? Only you can answer that as to what you want and for the reasons you want it.

If I was gonna spend that kind of jack, it would start with a LT and make it worth my while. There isn't any great benefit to just changing shocks because the stock units are fine for most all circumstances, unless maybe you're going to be pre-running the truck?

I wanted a winch till I found out it would cost $5,000 to do it, add lights and you got $6,000 for something I might not ever use.

Do it!! I'm guessing they have adjustable damping which is great for changing on and off road ride. And if you ever go on any long distance runs the external reservoir will help keep them cool too. Fronts are probably height adjustable too.

Yup , these are the same size as the factory shocks , but with added features . As stated , cooling tuning, and adjustability . Money comes and goes and you only live once . =)

Let me know if you would like some help retaining them .
