I don't know.. any idea if there are any long term problems this "charging" status may cause? Plus I think she said this was for 5L so gen 1?

Good luck. Let me know if it works please.

Ughhh...I cant stand the auto off!
It makes you feel like a kid that keeps stalling a manual transmission. If the engine was quiet it wouldnt be as bad. If you youtube for videos there is an easy way to pull the dash switch and put a jumper behind it to make switch think it is always on. I will do that. I thought about then wiring one of the overhead switches to bypass the bypass in case I wanted to use the feature, but then I thought...when would I EVER want to use it? Why trouble myself for something that will maybe save me $20 in fuel a year? I guess it depends where you live if its a useful feature.

Got it, thanks blackhole. I did the jumper wire and it deactivated the switch. The videos online show the light on as if the button was pushed, but mine has no light on and no notification in mesaage center, also the button does nothing when pushed. Iam happy with this, just confirming this is ok, thanks, Ray

Well, I woke up this am and deactivate light is on and the permanent fix worked. I must have shorted something and it reset overnight, as I started and drove truck 3 times yesterday with no light showing, but auto stop-start was working. Ray
