to shelteredraptor could you give all spec's . is that the 40 , spot or flood and looks like bottom mount . this light would be sweet.
VT Raptor is gonna kick me out if I jack his thread any more! I'll make a thread later on like I should have before screwing this one up. My apologies.
hahahaaa its all good! happy to have some productive conversations going on!! Im thinking a 20' inch curved light on the bumper for me. The 40 inch is sweet but much more than i need - especially if i do fogs/floods in the bumber cut outs..
STOKED for this... hopefully this has the "factory look" that i want.. and you get to choose which lights you want.. As promised, here are some pics! There will be a two and three light version available. Rigid, KC Hilites, Baja Designs and Vision X cube lights are all usable. The bezel opening are shown in white to make it easier for you to see on the picture. They are black, but can be painted. We are into the pre-production phase and expect to start shipping by the end of the month. The next update will include pictures with various lights installed. This kit looks really great! Your all going to LOVE it! Raptor Lights Website

By. So after the xpel, how do you care for it? Do you polish over it? You got the whole truck done or just the front? I have the venal detailing on my hood. Any clue if they can apply the xpel over them? Still trying to figure out how this works? Thanks. And great looking truck. I am also very jealous of your garage. Mine is so cluttered with stuff I could never get the truck in.
VT is this the one you got per chance? I need one that works with iOS. https://www.amazon.com/ScanTool-OBD...9371226&sr=8-4-fkmr0&keywords=forscan+adapter I thought these were just diagnostic tools. They let you change settings as well?
So caring for the Xpel is pretty easy. I have found a coupe products that work very well on paint, trim and PPF (paint protection film). I wax/polish with KLASSE products - either their KLASSE high Gloss sealant or the KLASSE all in one polish. That's just me there are hundreds of good products out there that will not harm and help protect your film. The KEY IS to read - NO Abrasives of any kind! this is not paint its plastic and abrasives will scratch it. Also no silicones or any distillates of any kind. These will stain and yellow the film over time. Also nice that the Klasse works great on plastics and trim, no staining and good protection. I polish probably 6 or 7 times a year. More in the winter (VT can be brutal and im always on dirt/unpaved roads). Also almost every time I wash I finish with Chemical Guys V7 Optical Select High Gloss Spray Sealant Detailer. Comes in an orange bottle - has a great orange smell to it. After I dry I spray it on and wipe it with a microfiber then flip the towel and buff it - goes very quickly - maybe 15 minutes for whole truck. This also works great on paint, Film and plastics. Crazy even works on windows and wheels. I buy this by the Gallon. I like AUTOGEEK for ordering all my car care stuff. Thou im sure if you ask any 5 people you will get 5 different answers - this is just my routine. Side note - XPEL makes a polish themselves, XPEL paint protection film sealant. I have it, it works well on the film but its not really made for paint so you will need another paint polish anyway. Bad news - I sent my Xpel installer buddy a text while I was writing the above response. He does NOT recommend installing Xpel over any surface that has the graphics / stickers on it. He does not think it will adhere properly and the edges around the graphics will never seat without bubbles. sorry. No i did not do the whole truck. I did full hood with wrapped edges, full front fenders, mirrors, rocker panels on bottom of doors and around lights. For me its insurance against rocks and chips. I have a couple cars / suv with PPF and they look great many years later. My 2013 Ford Edge Sport (which has lots of plastic exposed in the front) looks almost perfect after 50k miles. thanks - love that garage - they poured the slab sloped to the doors with an inside drain and i ran hot/cold running water in there so I wash inside in the winter time.
not that one - i got ScanTool 426101 OBDLink MX Bluetooth: Professional OBD-II Scan Tool for Android & Windows. So after reading many of the amazon reviews and reading the F150 forums - lots of good info there on FORScan. Many people complained about the IOS interface and said they where having problems. So i got the windows based one and downloaded software onto a windows laptop. So far so good. All I have done so far is disabled the "double honk" and turned off the engine noise in the ACM (audio control module) Im not saying you wont be fine with the IOS version just letting you know what i read. there are lots of fun things you can do with FORScan - check this out - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...iVSlDFGFHnfeuhb3RTMVz95730/edit#gid=815852466 this is NOT MY SPREADSHEET - full credit goes to the genius on the F150 forum for putting this together..
yeah, livinitup has put in an ungodly amount of time to figure this out and then be nice enough to publish all his findings to share. I have completed all the criteria, just need to grow a set and commit to hooking the laptop up...
VT Rap and sheltered rap I finally got mine last Thursday . . . ordered it July 30 , 2016 but it was definately worth the wait !!!!!
nice! didn't take you long to get rims and tires on it, they look like Con 6? I just ordered rims and tires, you guys are gonna flame the shit outta me, but...... I think it's gonna look hot as hell.
