Not the typical way of tricking the truck so as to make it seem as if its towing by placing pins in the trailer hitch! Which deactivates your rear view cam and rear sensors!

Seems legit to me! Watch below and if anyone tries it on his truck, please confirm that it works!

There's an actual setting in the menu to completely shut it off. No need for work around.

sadly that setting in the menu clears when you turn the car off - same as the button on the dash. I avoid start/stop by simply putting truck in SPORT mode ever time i start her up !!!! :head3:

Please walk us through the menu for everyone's benefit! But I highly doubt it will completely shut it off forever!

Every review of the Raptor indicates that you cannot turn it off unless in Sport Mode! Everyone's counting on an aftermarket module that takes care of the problem -or let's not call it a problem- option if the terminology serves me right, once and for all!

Yes, i tried yesterday on the way back from Santa Fe. I was fooled!!!!!!

However, I had been living in Warsaw Poland for the past two years on a work assignment (sucked to be me). I had a Audi Q3 with the damn start/stop and it really sucked.

The one in the Raptor is much better. Do i wish it wasn't there, kinda but i can live with this one only because i know it could be worse!!!!!!

Why is everyone hating on the auto on/off feature? Is it for fear of wear and tear on the engine/starter? I have never had a vehicle with this feature and don't mind it at all on my Raptor. It doesn't delay me at all at stop lights. I did notice the engine stays on when you have several items on like the heated steering wheel, air, radio, etc.

Although better then some vehicles it's still a bit annoying that slight jolt of restarting and trying to launch out from a standstill.

Also to your point, yes what's the life expectancy on the starter?

I get why they put it on, one more thing to help Ford and most likely soon others to meet EPA set forth buy DC.

Somewhere there's a secret wire to kill it, i just know it.....

I too prefer to turn it his off. From the little research I did, it does not save that much gas (5 to 10 percent at most) and impact to engine and components is a question. I have had truck for 3 weeks now. And even when I forget to turn it off, I have noticed that since I bough it, The auto turn off feature seems to engage much less often. Not really sure why that is. Anyone else notice this?

Depends on which mode you're driving the truck in!

Example, In Sport Mode it remains turned off.

I have noticed the more electronics turned on, the more likely the auto turn off will not activate at each stop. If you have the heated steering wheel, lights, radio, and air turned on then it will not activate.

I tend to just drive in normal mode, and I don't think I have been doing anything that differently in the way I use the truck. Weather has been A bit colder. Perhaps that is causing some of the other systems to work harder. But a. It weird
