I paid $1000 under MSRP, and as I said before, just post in the supporting vendor section and all would be fine.
I know, I liked your post and congratulated you on a great deal. That's awesome for you. I've sobbed enough here so I won't repeat but shit just didn't go down perfectly for everyone. And as someone shopping for a long time now, I can tell you it has only gotten harder. If supporting vendors are pissed that dealers are posting without supporting and it is causing problems for the site, I understand and respect that. Maybe it's a cinch to be a supporting vendor and post there. My concern is that the more obstacles created to post available trucks, the less likely it is that members here will find out about them.
Congratulations. Helping prospective owners become actual owners seems like a possible function of this sub forum? If it's against the rules then ownership/moderation should delete the offending posts and give him a lecture.
That's what I'm trying to figure out - how long should a purchaser (me) reasonably expect after putting down deposit on order. Was told that 3rd production run begins in April and it could take 6-12 weeks thereafter to actually receive truck. This being a first for me - first time to buy vehicle @ MSRP; first time to purchase a limited-production run vehicle, etc. - I'm both encouraged and (candidly) concerned that vehicle demand is so high that dealer took deposit (based on written representation that they have available allocation) but can't provide VIN (or order confirmation yielding firm production date). Is there any real-world intelligence (as opposed to speculation) about total # of production and/or time to produce 2017 Raptor?
