For those still waiting, I am curious if you are looking at other vehicle options. I drove a 2017 about 10 weeks ago and really liked it. I had an order placed in Oct 2016 that Ford finally accepted in early Jan 2017 with no build date in site. My dealer doesn't think I will get a 2017 model from what they are conveying to me. Additionally in my area, there are 25+ Raptors over 4 dealers on lots in various configurations, each at $10k-$12k over sticker.

I am hoping that the dealers realize the trucks aren't moving and drop the excessive markup but not sure that will happen. Money isn't burning a hole in my pocket so I am not going to pay more than 5k above MSRP. I am looking at Roush options that get normal FORD incentives for lariat trim.

Anyone else in the same boat?

This is in no way intended to be a Roush vs. Raptor thread, to all those that got the new Raptor we are jealous! I am just attempting to distill research others have done in one place. Thanks in advance!

I have loved all 4 of my Ford trucks, but I can only fit a regular F150 cab or present Sport Trac in the garage. I want the cab size of an F150 and all the standard features and options of an extended cab, especially a floor shifter. I wish Ford would offer a regular cab with floor shifter. Along comes the Raptor Scab - it fits in garage and I get cab size and features.
If my Raptor doesn't appear, Ford will loose two customers. My wife has owned several Explorers, but she's getting fed up with my frustrations and Ford's handling of this model. A GMC regular cab with factory Borla exhaust might be a second choice, even if Gdog dislikes the mention of other vehicles.

I've never liked them either, but I'm tired of "I don't know" and won't pay above MSRP.

Greg....I ordered my Raptor the way I wanted it and was happy to pay 3K over MSRP and that was 1-16-17.....you have guys that ordered last year that will tell you thy ordered their trucks for less than MSRP AND THAT IS ABSOLUTEYLY FINE!!!!! They were the first in line to order these new trucks and they were WAY in line before me/and a lot of other people and are just now taking delivery of their trucks. Myself, I'm patiently waiting....but in no hurry to get the allocation and the exact truck I want. If you're just now trying to to get a 17' Raptor it's not impossible by any means.....are you wa ting to just jump into a truck?!?!?! Or do you want to custom option it to you're specifications? The original forum members will tell you get one to get one and don't pay over but they had that luxury!!!! I paid $3k over MSRP and was absolutely fine with that but you're running out of time on allocations and I don't care what any dealer tells you.......these are limited run trucks

I need a new truck and would prefer the Raptor, just with some of this dealer nonsense it puts me off a little bit. One of the dealers here in south Texas has had 12 trucks on their lot at $12k over sticker and hasn't sold a single one for about 3 weeks. Their sales manager told me the reason why they won't sell them for less is because trucks are going $30k over sticker in California and they are holding out hoping people will come pick them up. Seems absolutely ridiculous to me.

As long as someone marks them up, everyone else will mark them up based on the fact that they are marked up elsewhere. Self fulfilling prophecy we are experiencing right now. Hopefully it will all calm down in the next month or so as more and more inventory hits the lots. I can't imagine the dealers will want to carry these trucks for too long once they are presented the option of selling or sitting on them. It seems there are a lot of inquiries but short on people ponying up $$!

One dealer told me that Ford is making 4,400 Raptors this year and that is it. Seems like if there were willing buyers and orders you would fulfill them rather than just churning out random F150s. Anyone else hear this?

I now have my raptor on order but my backup plan was an f150 supercab with 5.0 and 3.73 rear gears . I think that would have been a hot ticket . but yes I like the raptor scab's 133" wb over the f150's 145" wb

i thought they already made like 25,000 raptors. they on 2nd and 3rd allocations right now. you gotta figure 3000 Ford dealerships. all have at least 1 allocation and the top 100 have like 20+ allocations each. per allocation round. plus all the ones they sent to china already.

Roush vehicles are awesome. But they won't have the resale of Raptor. I know, I owned a Roush Mustang.
