    So....

I got the wire harness stuff sorted out.

All installed with no problems. No check engine light. No apparent issues.

Passing the one wire through the firewall wasn't too bad. I fished too flat he's screw drivers past the grommet from the inside. Then just spread them apart and slipped the wire in.

Does it do what it claims? Yes. It is noticibly more powerful. It's not one of those where you have to think about it and convince yourself it's doing something. Particular in sport mode, the performance difference is VERY noticible. It pulls harder for SURE. So much so that it feels like a different truck.

The down side is that it does not do much for the turbo lag. If you aren't spooled up over 3000 rpm you really can't appreciate a difference. The power difference comes on around 3000RPM up over 5000 RPM.

Is it worth 300 bucks? yes.

Very imformative write up on the boost max. So now that you have had it for a few days what is your overall review of the boost max. I also seen you post on the pedal max. Do you feel the peddlemax needs to be paired with the boost max?

I'm doing my best to be patient and wait on the tuners to come out. Believe I have reached the end of the internet searching for aftermarket tuning companies offering tunes for these truck haha! The boost max has my curiousity till tuners are on the market.

It works. No question. It has noticibly more power. It is especially noticible when you stomp on the gas over 65mph. It doesn't fall off the way it did before.

The pedal max also works. It didn't add any power. It just makes the throttle snappier. However I did notice that with the pedal max the truck now downshifts much more quickly and aggressively.

More than the throttle response. The transmission response is better. I'm guessing it's tied into the throttle position.

The two together bring the truck into another category in terms of performance. It's enough for me to say that it is how I feel it should have been from the factory.

The only drawback to the pedal max is that it makes the throttle a little jerky.

I'd buy the boostmax again for sure. The pedal max? Probably. I only have a little bit of time driving it with both installed

My wife and I both have 17 raptors so if I buy the boost max I can give a great comparison. See how the 65+- hp increase translates to the pavement against the exact same stock truck.

    Man that would be awesome!

I'm not sure what's cooler... the fact that you can make that comparison... or the fact that you guys have his and her raptors!

65+ HP gain with the Boostmax? Any idea what the torque gains are and at what RPM?
My truck arrives this week after 8 months of waiting. I test drove one at the dealership and was very surprised at the turbo lag factor.

Turbo Lag? I had a 13 FX4 eco and that had a turbo lag. But maybe that's why I don't notice it in the raptor.

The Peddle Max and the Boost max look to be the same plug and play. Confirm they plug in to different locations?????

Spoke to a shop that installed 5 jms boost max modules on 5 raptors and it shut them all down "as if the battery was dead". Generated a lot of codes. Evidently it was a newer release, I won't name the shop but they do a ton of raptors, Also mentioned they called JMS (which is really a great company) and the engineers had identified the issue and were shipping new modules immediately. I have no disclosures, just clarify with your shop and jms before you order as usual.

Anyone else gotten the Boost Max?

    I've ordered it. Still waiting................

I've seen one video posted and the guy i think was out of his mine, adding a new cold air intake, Boost & Peddle Max and he was thinking he's good for 600hp. Additionally he was getting wheel spin at the shift point when he was doing 70 mph. It may have happened but i would venture to believe for other reasons then just the added boost.

A cold Air intake is maybe good for 18-20hp (yet to see a dyno to validate the claims out there)

JMS makes different claims on the F150, again, no dyno. At best i can calc maybe a bottom line of about 525hp with this set up.

I believe i saw the same video, is it the guy with the strobes in his fog lights? In any event i think the only other mod he has was larger ported spacers for the turbos. So not entirely sure if he was over exaggerating or not.
