Hello everyone. I've been waiting to get a Raptor since I first heard about the '17 Raptors in 2015. I currently drive an E92 M3 coupe but Im ready to get a truck. I was going to buy a '13 Raptor back in 2015 but when I saw the new one, I was set. I had a used 99 Dodge ram 1500. It was good but it was a gas guzzler. Im looking forward in hearing different reviews and experiences about the 2017 Raptors. Living in Florida makes me want to enjoy the beach & ocean a lot so I'm definitely buying a boat once I get a truck. Having 2 toddlers in Fl is also a good ting to have a truck because there are a lot of people who cannot drive especially in Tampa area. With a Raptor, I believe I would feel safer if I get hit by another vehicle. So far I have been looking everywhere. The least a dealer charges was $5K above MSRP but I just cant find it in me to spend that money to ust give away to the dealer. I can buy more guns with $5K. Hopefully, I would have a raptor this year unless the 2018 is better.
Welcome! There's little doubt that the 2018 will be better in terms of working out the kinks on a first model year vehicle (10-speed programming anyone?). Ford will be refreshing the f-150 at some point in 2018, how that affects the Raptor remains to be seen. Personally I'm most curious to see whether the ecoboost (twinforce) V8 rumors pan out...With all of that said, I haven't heard anyone in here say they are waiting - myself included! I'm ready and the truck is badass right now, so that's good enough for me. Good luck with your search for a dealer that will sell at msrp.
