So woke up this morning, and I am not saying it isn't a reliable vehicle, but its -4F -20C outside and my 16 hour old vehicle is dead... and not oh just needs a boost, like block heater, plug in charger and my Tahoe hooked up to it and it won't even blip the starter. seems like a ford access key issue. not only that but my driver side door will not stay shut due to what looks like locking linkage issues from the cold. I waited over 6 months for this! ford roadside is on the way, lets see if its a tow job.

Any update? I've had mine in the cold and wind with no issues, but not quite that cold. Plus mine is a garage queen unless I'm out of town with it.

Hey Guys, so they brought it in the shop, had to get towed down on a flatbed of course... and everything was fine after it was inside for an hour. possibly a starter issue. the door not closing has a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) so they have ordered the retrofit parts for that.

Starter? was it clicking? 1hr inside and it works? Sounds like a ground issue. Also have heard parts for door fix are on back order. 3rd truck I've heard about not starting in the cold, not good.

    More information:

Ford tech told me from his diagnosis there might have been water in and or around the starter causing a malfunction or fail to start, he checked in with the ford database and is waiting for a reply until then I was told it was okay to take home.

I was wondering the exact same, is this an actual Ford recall for all F-Series trucks then bc they all share the same cabs and doors (F-150's & Superduty's) Right? Don't know if you have that offhand but is there a certain TSB # associated with this issue? Thanks in advance.

Mine was six miles into driving and it died. The harness wires underneath mine was burnt because it fell on the exhaust system. Sorry brother, hope it turns out great for you. I waited for three days for mine to be fixed.

It came in today. I don't have time to turn it in as I'm about to leave town. Monday they will replace the Shifter Motor. The great thing is myself and the regional specialist are on a first name basis. I asked him for a whole year of free oil change and some beadlock rims....lol let's see how that work.

Tell them you want 2 years of oil changes!! For everything you been thru that's the least they could do

Instrument cluster transmission shift position light stop working , Ford has a recall out # 17C01 .
Have an appointment for Wednesday, service technician at ford stated it takes approximately 1:00-1:30 hours to reprogram.
Has anyone else had this problem?

If you hit the + paddle shifter while just in D and not M, the 10 speed positions go away from your display. Just hit it again and they come back up.
