I have been on the site checking it out for several months but just now finally coming around to joining the Forum officially. I've had my 17' Raptor since Dec 27th and now have approximately 1,400 miles on it, I have an AG color SCREW with the 802A package. So far aftermarket wise I have the RPG collars installed as of earlier this week so my truck looks a bit more leveled now. I've so far had a couple very minor warranty issues but they are resolved now and overall I think the truck is amazing! Anyways just wanted to introduce myself and offer any help or advice if needed. Thanks and looking forward to staying connected.
As mentioned the warranty items were minor just annoying dropping off the new truck for the day. Two items 1) I had a weird clicking and burbling sound coming from my heater core that sounded noticeably louder than the engine itself when it was idiling w/ the heater on. 2) I had a circular seepage stain on my rear differential cover from apparently a small leak. They fixed both issues in the same day and haven't had any problems since.
Any mechanical issue you boys down in Texas are having? What part of Texas u from? I'm in Colorado but Texan by heart. Welcome!
I am up in the DFW (Dallas) Area, no real issues other than those 2 minor ones I mentioned that got taken care of through warranty.
Congrats on your new truck TX. I have also been monitoring several sites looking for updates and confirmation that I ordered the right vehicle. My truck has been on "order" since July but as of last week I am told that it still doesn't have a vin but the good news is that there are no "commodity shortages" which supposedly means the wheels or carbon fiber or marker lights aren't causing the delay. I wonder if anyone else is getting the same story? I trust my dealer is not the cause of this long delay but I did order it a long time ago. My neighbor owns a '13 raptor and raves about it all the time. He is now looking for more power though which he says will cost him over 6 grand to accomplish. Starts to make the insane price of a '17 more realistic. Anyway, appreciate the post and please try to keep us informed about your experiences. Its all we have.
Thanks Court, and good luck in your journey, hopefully it will come to an end soon and you'll have your Raptor. I got to believe (like you said) they've gotten over their initial delays/disruptions with commodity shortages and trans software issues etc. There should be a smoother production output going forward, you would think.
