Hey Everyone, I like all of you read every review, watched every video, and knew more about the truck than the dealership. I thought I'd give you all my first impressions, for those who have yet to take delivery. I am also a novice. This is my first pickup truck. All my other "trucks" have been jeep grand cherokees and I traded in a 2014 Jeep Grand summit. First... it's quick. It has more grunt and throw you in your seat acceleration than my jeep with the 5.7 hemi. My jeep was no slouch. The shifts are sluggish in normal mode and it tends to ride in a tall gear. In sport mode it's noticibly more crisp, shifts are fast, downshifts are aggressive, but it hangs onto lower gears for a loooong time... it makes it impractical for every day driving. It would be nice if there was something in the middle. The interior is the 802a, tech, heated steering and rear seats. Yes it does have a subwoofer. It can't see the brand on it. The sound is not like my 2017 Volvo xox 90, but then again it's on a whole different level. The radio in that alone was a $2400.00 upgrade. The materials are a little cheap in the interior... a little Ill refined. My jeep was a step up. It's not bad. It's just a little plasticky for 70 grand. I'm not disappointed in the quality of the interior and I'm not blown away by it. The leather on the seats is decent quality and the comfort is very good. It's not Nappa but it'll do. Overall, it's a lot of fun to drive. It'll get through any weather you throw at it. It doesn't ride like a truck. It rides like a big SUV. It's a truck obviously and it is a Domestic truck. Would I buy it again? In a second! Was it worth what I paid for it? Yeah I think so. The value is there. Good luck!
Yes it Is the first pickup I've personally owned. I've always owned truck based suvs. Suburban, jeep grand, pathfinder... But while I've not personally owned a pickup prior to this one, my dad as well as many other family members have had one for many many years. Including a new tundra TRD pro. I did intend to be confusing. I referred to my truck based SUVs as trucks. They weren't car based crossovers. Have you always been this way, Vikes? Do I really hurt your feelings that much because I give my honest opinion of the truck? Did you engineer, assemble, or in some way participate in the build of the vehicle? If you did, I could see that striking a nerve and I'm sorry to hurt your feelings, but it's real feedback that leads to real innovation.
