I received mine this past Friday. You can see my setup from my signature. I wanted to get a little drive time in before posting. Some observations I've made: 1.) It takes awhile to learn all the new technology. I've read the manual and I'm still learning since going over it only once doesn't necessarily means it will sink into my thick head. 2.) It has mostly been in "no fun mode" since the manual suggests a 500 mile break-in period. It's mostly been in normal mode. However, it certainly is like a horse that wants to run. I put it in sport mode and it was difficult driving to keep it under 35 mph. 3.) One small thing my boys enjoy is the dual USB plug ins in the read of the vehicle. No more adapter necessary for those trips where they are each on their own device. 4.) I've never had a heated steering wheel before, wow. It's nice. Especially since I think it was only like a $150 option. Again, a small consideration but nice amenity. 5.) Unlike some others I've read about, I was fortunate and did not have any issues, dings, dents, or rust from delivery or storage after being built. 6.) SYNC3 is much more responsive than what I had in my 2011 platinum. It has definitely garnered plenty of attention and comments. Lots of whiplash I noticed too as I'm driving and people looking back as I pass when they notice it's the Gen 2 Raptor. I threw in a few pics from when I picked it up last week. I have been living vicariously through others that got theirs before I did and appreciated the Raptor porn so I figure I'd pay it forward for those still waiting patiently. I would echo what others have said, it's definitely worth the wait.
Congrats! Is that Avalanche Grey? Looks like white to me. I have been considering Avalanche, but different pictures I have seen have shown it more tan than white and that's why I ordered mine in white. Yours looks awesome.
i can tell you - no tan in the Avalance Grey - pictures and lighting definitely effect the color but what a great color ...
No one wants the Avalanche Gray. I dayv that because I have one and I'd prefer people would quit ordering them. Agree, no tan. Looks white or silver depending on the light. Park it by something white or silver and you see it isn't. I love it. Paw, nice truck. Looks eerily familiar.
After looking at many awesome pictures on this forum, during my office break of course, I decided to switch from white to avalanche grey. I put the request in to the dealership yesterday which they passed it on to Ford. Since the build date is Jan 27, they didn't guaranty the request will go through. Fingers crossed!
cover is the hard folding in-between-rails cover by REV. its a FORD accessory - Ford branded option. Thou i think REV gets them bak flip - not sure - i ordered mine when i ordered the truck many months ago. i wanna say like 900 bucks from Ford. the dealer installed it and Ford gives you a 3 yr warranty on it. i posted some pics on this forum in the Tonneau thread..
No worries Vikes91. The dealership let me know today that they can't change the color since the truck is already bucked so I am going with White.
