How's everyone doing! I have been keeping track of the new Raptor for some time now. Been debating on getting one for years. My local dealership has 15 people on the wait list with only 6 Raptors allocated this year. The first one should be arriving this week and the second next week. I told myself if an opportunity came up, I would jump on it and get one. Well, literally a day after I said that, my buddy told me I could have one of the two he is ordering (he is number 5 & 6 on the list). Checked with the fleet manager and on Friday and he said he would get back to me. Got an email an hour later with the order sheet of the third person on the list who decided to wait a few months. Everything on the order sheet was exactly what I wanted, even the color. I guess it is meant to be. Well I can now say my Raptor's build date is January 27 with delivery mid February. Hell yeah!! Anyone have any recommendations regarding pricing?

Congrats Beto. Pricing will have to be what your comfortable with. Many on here claim they got theirs for MSRP. Many others, like me, paid a mark up. I feel anything from 5k or less for a mark up and you'll be fine on resale. But that is nothing more than a semi-educated guess with how the 1st gens have kept their value.

congrats on the truck.. 2 things on pricing. 1 - i paid MSRP and my dealer said they never charge over MSRP for ford performance vehicles (Focus RS or Shelby 350 and 350R) 2 - when i went to pick up my truck sales manager told me 2 different resellers had contact them to offer them 5k and 6.5k over MSRP for my truck. Manager said they very very rarely use a reseller because Ford knows when cars are sold to resellers and it counts AGAINST them for future allocations of hard to get vehicles. So that said - I kinda agree with Vikes91 - i personally would probably have paid a couple thousand over given the amazing resale values of the 1st Gen trucks and given how hard these 2nd Gen trucks are to find but 5k would be my absolute limit. But the whole mark-up really leaves a bad taste. good luck.

Thanks VP Raptor and Vikes91. The fleet manager told me the dealership will not go under MSRP which is what I'm getting and now appears like I'm getting a good deal. I was wondering if anyone got theirs at invoice which would be a hell of a deal. I thought the same regarding resale value which made it easier to spend the $72k out the door for this one.

I am in California, and Huntington Beach Ford wanted $20K over MSRP for Ruby Red or Blue and $10K over for any other color. Last November I searched dealer inventory for built Raptors so that I could get one late 2016 / early 2017 and found a dealer in Arizona that was asking $10K over and had one available that was built 11/03. The best price I could find was at a dealer in New Mexico that asked $1000 over MSRP for Avalanche White. My Ruby Red finally came in this week and I am picking it up on Wednesday in Arizona and had to pay the $10K over MSRP....so not real happy about that but I plan on keeping it a while and will try to forget about giving away $10K!!!

I paid MSRP but went out of state. My local dealer wanted 5k over but called and said they would do MSRP after I bought it elsewhere.

I got an update yesterday from the dealer. Build date is still at 1/27/2017 with delivery date sometime between 2/14-2/20. I guess it takes a while for the train to make it all the way to California. Anyone get theirs sooner than 3 weeks after build date? From what I have heard, build date is is the day the truck is finished being built? I wonder ow long it takes them to do their test and then put it on the schedule to ship.

I got mine 12 weeks after build date...but mine was among the first ones produced and needed the transmission re flashed. Looks like the average wait from build-delivery is 10-14 days for those recently off the production line.

At this point for the one's still waiting for a build date or a delivery you at least know you have a raptor coming. The only thing to worry about is if your dealer in question tries to pull one over on you and hike up the price from what was originally agreed upon which has happened to more than a few. Look at the positives, our members who have taken delivery are giving us real world feedback to get the most out of the truck, plus by the time we finally take delivery there will be plenty of after market add on's available

We don't need to be removing options off the original build sheet either thinking it will speed the process up. Trust me it hasn't worked out for others doing this and in the long run you'll regret "settling" for something you're paying a lot of money for and built it the exact way you wanted. I am having my dealer install dual screens in the back of the head rests as well to keep the 3 & 4 year olds entertained. I was worried that with the orange interior accent package this wasn't going to be doable but the sales manager said otherwise and the factory headrests with the orange stitching would be utilized. $1,400 was the price installed and will Bluetooth to play through the factory speakers or they can use the wireless headphones .

Hey Kris, is Ford Performance not able to track the rail car or was it coming up by truck once it hits Portland?
