I have heard the 17 Raptor will have remote start capabilities through a smart phone. Is there any truth to this? And, if so, does it require any type of particular option package. Thanks.
BabaYaga - I searched the online f150 Owner's Manual and did not find any info on starting with a smart phone. I might have missed it because there are numerous pages about Synn3 and phones. I checked the Index and only found reference to remote start with a key fob.
You need the 802A package to get the cell phone app to start your vehicle, check your gas, lock/unlock your doors, oil service... anywhere you can use your phone. You will see the "Sync Connect" option on your build.
And one of the coolest options with this app is you can see exactly where your truck is. I tracked it while they were tinting it and doing the line-x.
You start with the VIN, but after that you need to be in the truck. So sorry to say you can't do it yet.
Mine has it...I just call my wife from my smart phone and tell her to start it up and call me back when it is warm inside!!!!
