Hi Raymond, talking from experience the best and most reliable source of tracking for me has been phoning Ford Performance directly, quick, friendly and way more reliable than the ordering dealership. Cheers and Welcome aboard!
Kris hit the nail on the head. I second his suggestion. I would call once a week for an update, they get many calls and they track how many times you call. So I didn't want to pester them too much. Look at my info below and you can see the time line, I'm still waiting :-/
Here's what I learned through trial and error ( totally based on my build so may not apply to all builds ); Once you have VIN # you can enter it here https://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do This will give you very limited info until your truck is built. It will however update your build date should it change. Primary Features Build Date: 30.11.0002 ( This worked out to be the day my truck started production ) Vehicle Line: F-150 Engine: 3.5L V6 GTDI Transmission: 10 Speed Auto Transmission (10R80) Once truck is completed you will get the full detail of all the options and equipment from this site. The build date is actually the date your truck comes off the assembly line. It takes 7-8 days to assemble. A week prior to your build date, or on the underlined date above, you should be able to go here and enter your VIN # http://researchmaniacs.com/Ford/TrackFactoryCarOrders.html This will generate your window sticker on or about the day your truck starts production. Once your truck is built then your only option for updates is the dealer or Ford Performance. The people at FP are very good at getting you the latest info, I can only imagine how many calls they get a day, but they are always pretty upbeat. They can track the rail car and tell you where it is passing through. My truck is passing Biggar, Saskatchewan as we speak.... ETA my dealership Sunday!!
so let me ask mr Raymond a question? So considering forum members are providing you with valuable information you requested without even a please or thank you and it appears from your profile picture your a cop, are you the kind that would pull someone over for not have a front license plate on their truck if its one of those jacked states that require it?
