Give the driver a break, it's not easy loading and running down the highway. I pretty sure there isn't one person here that's perfect. The last thing the driver wants is a claim or damage on his record. Just saying, and it' only a scratch on the F ing bumper. Easy fix.
LOL, you didn't hurt my feelings. To each their own. I'm not a decal guy for that reason. But like you, that's just my likes.
So my tailgate damper system wasn't installed at the factory. Not sure how that happened but it did. Dealer service department tried to tell me it was extra that I didn't order on vehicle. Finally they are ordering and installing as it should have been. I was about to blow a gasket. Ok, maybe I did a little bit.
glad you stuck to your guns.. i dont know your relationship with that dealer but makes me nervous that there immediate response was that is was "extra" and you didnt order it .. makes you feel like they are working against you not with you. Dealer should be your advocate b/t you and the factory.
I am absolutely in love with my truck. I swear this thing is amazing. Surprisingly the Sony system is not horrible. The bass still makes the highs cut out some. But not bad if not cranked all the way up. Only one sort of kind of disappointment so far and that is the exhaust sound. It doesn't sound good in my opinion. Other than that this beast is perfect and exactly what I was expecting when I ordered it. Everything and more.
Finally washed the truck and looked at it without rain or snow in the daylight. There are issues in the paint on both passenger side fender flares. Not sure if I should get it fixed or not. Called Ford to report it and will go to dealer next week. Dealer is out of state and they weren't great with the non dampened tailgate issue. We will see.
What issues with the paint are you having? Any pictures so we can get a better idea? Orange peel or bad curing and just your truck or possibly Q/C at the plant and possibly more trucks?
Hopefully they make it right at the dealership. Like you said, a brand new $70K truck shouldn't be having any cosmetic issues and I know you'll stand your ground. They can say we are "anal/OCD" but owners/future owners that are shelling out this kind of money are going to expect nothing less than perfection. What do they expect after some of you have waited 6+ months to take delivery of your trucks. Good luck and keep us posted.
