After thinking about I and looking at different rims on line . I will take the $ 1165 the bead locks were and buy aftermarket rims. That way my Raptor will look different then all of the other.
Well, I'm sticking it out for the beadlocks. My original order did not include them and that is the only change I have made. I have been an off roader for years with many jeeps, trucks, atvs, buggys, etc and plan on continuing that trend with this truck. When I looked closely at the base wheels they are "outies", instead of a dish the fins protrude out of the plane. Not past the tire but the first obstacle is going to start knocking chunks off. Now if I can find a set of forged for $1,200 that would be an option.
well after you shell out the 500 bucks for the beadlock rings to actually make them beadlocks you can afford a set of 4 true beadlocks from method
Well lets work this out together, First you pay $1165 for the Beadlock capable wheels, then you pay $500 for the rings from ford performance ($125 a piece). Not to mention that they don't discount the price of the truck with the stock wheels that you remove from the build so at a minimum there screwing you over haha. So were at $1665 for 4 Beadlock wheels Here is Methods true Beadlock, rings included for 300 a rim at $1200 for 4 I run these on my truck and yes they are legit. plus you will be able to strip those KO2's off the stock rims and sell your stockers to an F-150 guy for $700 So id say you come out at $500 for methods vs $1665 for "ford performance" http://www.methodracewheels.com/collections/race-wheels/products/105-beadlock-machined
Those are gorgeous, but you didn't answer the question. Where can I buy 4 forged beadlocks for $1665?
The Ford beadlock wheels are forged which is higher quality than cast wheels. Forged beadlocks are very expensive; IMHO the Ford price for their beadlock wheels is actually reasonable.
I still think having a Machined CNC Beadlock from method, besides the obvious cost savings from the Ford Beadlocks is the strength.
I don't have a link. There were reports of 15,000 F150's with the 10 speed transmission sitting in a lot in MI waiting for some type of transmission reflash or something. Google is your friend.
I have never seen anything officially from Ford on the delay. Just articles that say an unnamed inside source at Ford says such and such.
