Watching the journey going on of the ones who ordered earlier this year. I wanted to start a thread regarding orders that were submitted in December. This can allow us December orderers a way of comparing how our orders progress in relation to each other. All the while trying to avoid with bogging down other threads of earlier orders. If you have ordered in December please add your order date and keep updating as you get more info. My order was placed December 12 and got confirmation from Ford that they had it in the system. Will update as I get more info. PS-Hopefully I will be updating info on this thread sooner then 4 months from now!!!!!
Just making sure you realize when you placed your order has no bearing with allocation process. It really is based on how many allocations your dealer has and where you stand within that range (priority code). For example, if you ordered months ago and you are one of the last allocations for that dealer, you will have a later build... could be Spring into Summer. If you ordered more recently like ourselves (mine was 11/12 confirmed by Ford 11/14), the higher priority (lower numerically, I'm 6/13) determines how early/late your build could be. If you are one of the first ones at your dealer, it will be sooner. But as Ford announce six weeks ago, 2/3's of the allocations for MY17 has already been sold so if you are ordering now and one of the last allocations, you are looking late Spring into Summer. If you are lucky and found a dealer where you are one of the first allocations, you should get a build in the next couple of months. Hope this helps. There are many out there that placed their order in July/August, but one of the later allocations with their dealer, still have no build dates... that is why.
Thanks and appreciate you sharing your knowledge. I have a connection at one of the largest Ford dealers, Galpin Ford. Their 2017 allocation is actually quite big 40+. My order priority code is 19. Thanks again for sharing and I hope my wait is not of the 5 month range.......
Yes... however any dealer can place an order, they just won't get filled unless they have the allocations. Meaning if they get 10 for the year, they can still place an order above that limit, order won't be pulled/filled. I do see several orders getting pushed back into beginning of March now... I was hoping for a late Jan/early Feb build, but I have one to get scheduled in front of me. Hopefully can still get it in early spring. I am six... two have been build, two are scheduled for this month, so was hoping that would continue. We'll see.
Think they are in LA... huge dealership. They carry at least twice as many trucks as large dealers in ATL. California, Texas, Las Vegas areas will receive a lot more allocations depending on previous sales and proximity to the deserts. I can believe this... my dealer is good size but not huge and they have 13 allocations.
See... my dealership is a very small one in good ol Boaz Alabama and they were only given one raptor allocation but where does the priority number come in to play???

See... my dealership is a very small one in good ol Boaz Alabama and they were only given one raptor allocation but where does the priority number come in to play???
I have an understanding of how the priority code works, but not good enough to be giving advice. I will let a more knowledgable member here respond to a Priority code explanation.
