Dan, Thanks for taking the time to post here. I really like the inside info. When you build matt33's magnetic gray crew cab Raptor, go ahead and give her a hug for me before shipping it to PA.
I have a question you might be able to answer Dan, when they say our trucks are sent to the body upfitter is this for the bedliner or for the retrofits/updates? My truck was built 11/15, went to upfitter, now sits at ramp 59 for about a month with no updates...
My truck was also built on 11-15-16,I called ford SVT on Friday morning (11-9-16). They stated my truck was sitting on ramp 58 waiting to be loaded. I'll try calling back on Wednesday to see if status has changed.
Dan , I ordered my raptor on august 4 but most people who ordered after me already have build dates or their truck has already been built. Does it have something to do with my truck being a super crew or having certain packages of why its taking long for mine to be built?
Future,, Dan works in the plant. Your question should be directed at your dealer. What do they have to say about not having a build date?
Dan- I want to thank you for coming on here and answering questions and shutting down the rumor mill all in less than 24 hours. You've provided more facts than 18 months of bullshit flying through the interweb universe, and for that we all owe you at the least a frosty beverage of your choice,so please post the name of your favorite establishment
Thank you for all the great information, Dan. Much appreciated! Is there a higher priority to continue building on the production line than refitting earlier builds that may have potential problems? Also, are the earlier builds only refitted purely on overtime, or is it a regularly scheduled in normal hours? For those of us that are affected by these issues, myself included, just wondering where we fit in the overall timeframe.
