Now i dont know about the rest of you but this is the first vehicle ive actually build and ordered. Ive always been able to find the cars i wanted in past without going through this process..Enough of my bullshit what do you think or whats an acceptable milage on a brand spanking new truck like the raptor. If i get mine and it has more than 5 miles on it i'll probably be really fucking annoyed. Im actually considering telling the dealer to NOT prep the truck leave all the plastic and cardboard in it and i'll unwrap the precious at home lol will be like a 30 min unwrapping I'd love it :)))....Does anyone know how much the truck is driven at the plant before delivery such as break-ins or testing?

True. Your dealer might put a minimum 30 miles on it just to confirm a product before they deliver it to a customer. After all, it is their name on the conclusion sheet. They don't want to be the rough end of the stick. Bad ratings for their company if something goes bad when they hand it over.

When mine leaves the Factory, my dealer will tell me how many miles it is on it before it hits my courtesy delivery dealership. A foot more than what I will be brief will be a pistol whip result. Yes. Pistol Whip.

Just a little input I got one of the 2015 mustang (new body style) right when they dropped and it had 29 miles on it few months a later got another one due to body panel alignment issues and it only had 2 miles so I'm guessing because of the redesign dealers definitely get their joy rides in them before they call you for pickup could be different with the Raptor but I would assume they would want to joy ride in it even more being it's a new platform

I was told by my dealer that because of the re-launch. The factory will put some of them thru a Q & A up there before it ships. When I custom ordered my 2006 F350 it had only 6 miles on it. I think most of the mileage will come from up at factory, But I do like the idea of unwrapping it myself also.

All my vehicles have had between 3-10 miles on them when purchased... some were ordered, others were stock I wanted. I have seen plenty of new up to about 60 miles though.

    I'm joking!

Actually the average is about ten miles. I asked both dealerships here in the springs and both confirmed. The Raptor will not have extra miles on it and no one will drive it.

Prior to the beast showing up at the lot, you will get a call prior. The keys are kept by one person only, locked in a state of the art maximum security room. Ok...maybe too much.

Don't worry brothers. No one shall drive our babies unless we tell them. The miles are miles from Dearborn boys making sure our trucks are good to go.

    Go Cowboys!

    Hey!!!

I grew up in Dallas all my life. So I'm going for my home team even if we suck (the last ten years). My wife just laughed at this. She hates the cowboys too. :893MrT-thumb:

News flash 5 F-150 ford trucks stolen of lot in Detroit area all recovered fast, looks like at least one was a RAPTOR. One other point with 6-10" of snow coming and salt already going down the last few days is your new due to be a southern truck getting driven though all this salt and slush crap? I'd worry about that more than a few miles!

Yes! no rust! I don't drive my new 70,000 truck on salted roads if I can help it. So I hope the guys at Ford and Roush aren't doing it!
