First you need to find out how many allocations your dealer has for the year, then what number are you. Post by Gdog is correct... many small dealers do not have allocations. All of them can place orders, but won't get order filled if they have no allocations. Also, if they only have a couple, they can be spread out through the year... that's where your priority comes in... find out and let us know. I had a similar experience when first trying to order.
It means that your dealer can put in 6 other trucks ahead of yours, given that the highest priority they can assign is a 10. 1-9 are reserved for regional and Ford special circumstance issues. That doesn't mean that they DID put 6 other truck orders ahead of yours, but they could.
What StrikerHawk stated... If your dealer had 10 allocations, and has sold several before you, there could be up to 6 trucks ahead of yours and it would help to find out. I am close to that myself could be anywhere from a Feb - May build depending on when they pull. Keep in mind, Ford does not pull orders based on when you ordered. They pull orders based on what priority you fall at your dealership. Dealership controls priority. I am a 14, but there were 5 in front of me. When I ordered in middle of Nov, 2 of my dealer trucks were already built. Within a week the next 2 got pulled. So now there is only one truck in front of me to get scheduled. Hoping for Feb. Let us know how many allocations your dealer received.
Mine was built on Oct 26th - As of Tuesday, my delivery date is showing between the 6th and 12th of December -
My priority is 19 but my dealer told me they were only allowed to order one raptor and i was the lucky guy. I ordered august 4. Its a SCREW with accent leather , carbon fiber , bead lock , all the bells and whistles etc... Any idea why I'm without a ship date?
So the dealership placed your order, but it hasn't been pulled by ford for processing. At some point the random number Gods will smile upon you and your order will be pulled. You'll be assigned a VIN, then perhaps 2-3 weeks later you'll be assigned a build week, then about a week or 2 before that build week you'll be assigned a build date. 5-7 days before your build date you'll be able to download your window sticker from research maniacs. The actual build time for your truck will be about a day and a half, start to finish, not including spray-in bedliner or graphics, those things are done off plant and require about an additional week to get done. Ford's system will automatically generate a delivery date estimate for you about the time your truck gets built, but it's total crap and doesn't account for the week off plant getting other things done and any continued delays in quality checks. We're still waiting for confirmation that the very first customer has actually received their truck, so just know that it's a LONG process.
yep........... depressing and aggravating. check out the time line below in my post. And the latest after calling ford performance. I'm still TBD. Still F - ing TBD. :/
I did not ask about their allocations but do know they did have 3 customer orders before me and a few dealer ordered units coming in, they are a big dealer selling lots of truck all the time so I will have to check on that one. I have been busy on the Facebook page having to much fun. did anyone see the piece on the guy that snuck in the Roush shop lot and took pictures and talked to employees about the 90 day time frame to get all the retrofits done? I think his post was deleted.
I ordered mine Nov 2nd so i know i have a wait ahead but my sheet has priority code 19 as well fucking weird your build date was in AUGUST ...Fords fuckin up somewhere it will get leaked soon.
i checked mine last week. it came out of being built last week of november. the status stated shipped to storage and had an arrival date in roswell NM of dec 15. well tuesday the status changed from dec 15 to TBD. then yesterday the progress showed released from storage but a delivery date wasnt added back to it yet. not sure what ford is doing. the only thing i do know is that everyone with carbon fiber options wont be getting theirs the first go round
