Yeah I went from the 12th to the 15th too. Looks like our trucks will be brothers for sure. Cool I had the same thought about that May date, just sanity checking. I deploy again in June and if I only had a few weeks with my truck I was gonna go ape shit. From showroom to Hunt'in cabin. Drove 340 miles last night and all I can say for those who are still waiting...."Its gonna blow you away" exceeds all my expectations.
The wait is over for me! Picked up my Avalanche Grey SCREW yesterday afternoon! So far loving about 99% of it!! It was worth the wait, so any questions I can answer for the gang, I'll do my best. Quick Review: Sound - It's a V6 and you can tell, but I still like how it is more aggressive than a non-HO V6 in an F150, but not the growl of a V8. Modes - Loving Sport mode! It really sharpens it up, has some punch, and I like the Sport mode for steering as well. Transmission - the 10-speed is going to take a little getting use to. It is smooth, and shifts well, but if you are looking for the differences in it, you can tell when it's hunting for gears or trying too hard to get up top for the "economy" gearing Radio - sounds great! Many more features than my 2012 F150 Platty had. Still learning all of it and the Apple CarPlay feature ins & outs Auto Start/Stop - This "feature" freaking SUCKS!!! I'm already starting to build a habit of hitting the override button overtime I get into the truck. There seems to be no way to permanently override it, and it resets back to "on" every time you start your truck. Be prepared. Stance - moving from my 2012 4x4 Platty, this thing feels bigger in every way. I know it's only slightly taller, and 6" wider, but it just "feels" more massive. Love it! Antenna - I gotta find a replacement for the stock 31" whip antenna. Too tall now for the home garage and for the parking garages I deal with every day - open to suggestions. I'll post more reviews as I gain more wheel-time and answer questions as time permits.
I have a lift on my 13 FX4, and had to get a shorty antenna for the same reason. You won't get as good of reception as the factory one. Picked it up at Oriellys.
