Dealer informed me today that Raptors won't be built until Jan - Feb. Does anyone know if that is true and why?
The truck is already being built, there's videos online of a parking lot full of them. Granted they are all missing their front bumpers. However the real questions is when are they going to be released and no one seems to have a creditable answer to that question. At best, my bet is going to be this week as it will tie to the start of Baja on Wednesday.
He's probably referring to when his next allocation of raptors will be built. Most dealers have sold through the initial allocations and are on the second or third allocations which still don't have build dates. Just a guess.
that's complete bullshit!!! I just got back from Michigan visiting fam over thanksgiving and took a tour of the rouge plant and personally saw raptors being built!!
As i sit working so productively today i came across this: https://www.arifleet.com/resources/manufacturing-updates/lead-times-downtime-production-delays/ It doesn't explain the delay just that the week of Christmas the plant will be down and it's 12-14 weeks to receive an order.
I'm thinking a lot of dealers ordered black because it sold so well w/ gen 1, but I see Magnetic selling way more this time, and black ending up closer to the bottom w/ avalanche as #1 seller, surprised at ruby red down the list so far.
