TAILGATE STEP OR NO STEP

Anyone have experience with the old man tailgate step? Does it rattle ? im thinging about it that it might be convenient but the chance it could rattle and annoy the shit out of me kinda scares me. Plus i have a feeling after the warranties up the damn thing is going to pop out whenever i lower the tailgate i can see it now...people saying "wow it comes out automatically when you lower the tailgate thats a nice feature" lol then i have to reply no its fucked. What do you guys think I think i can live without it

 

From my experience, they are very well constructed. I don't think you would have any problems

 

Well, there's a chance you'll get F'd. But doubt it will be the tailgate step doing it. It's not a new feature, it's been around now for a few years and haven't heard of major problems with it. On that note, yes i ordered it on mine. If it starts to rattle there's a real simple solution for it, turn up the music

 

I ordered it too. I didn't get it on my last Superduty and wished I had. The redesign looks even better, so bring it on.

I ordered my truck with the tailgate step as well. Since I told my wife I want to be buried in this truck, I'm going to need it when I become an old man!

Have the tailgate step on my 2011 FX4 and it's never given me any trouble or noise at all. When I ordered it I thought it would never get used, but once you've walked up into the bed of your truck rather than climbed/jumped up, you'll never go back to the old days. I did include it on the Raptor order.
