If you're one of the lucky few who have received word that your truck will be delivered in November.... Seen a lot of news articles over the last 24 hours where it's been mentioned that the Raptor is doing well above expectations on the Ford configuration site and with overall preorders. They state the truck is expected to go into full production by the end of this month and the first deliveries are over a month away. As someone who was told a date of November 15th by Ford Service, I'm just hoping that isn't just a false promise that is "subject to change."
I was given a 11/11 ETA date by Ford Service. I spoke with my contact at the dealer who I have know for years. He tells me that date is an approximate date. They will really know better once they get a rail car number for my VIN. Then they can start tracking it's travels. He told me that the rail and transport service is a whole different animal. I trust him and his expertise, this is the second truck I have ordered from him in 10 years. He is also the fleet vehicle MGR. Needless to say I am chomping at the bit, awaiting the arrival date. I sold my 06 F350 almost 02 months ago, so I can tell you it really does suck not having a truck.
trust me I know ! I sold mine because they say that the truck would be here at the end of oct. now its looking like December.
hey guys ! just received a call from my dealership saying the truck made rail. the owner felt comfortable enough that it was en route to New Orleans hes giving me a loaner for a few or so. mainly because i traded my last one in and they had the wrong delivery date on the Raptor ( another story ). hopefully they have started to ship.
Great news let's hope it arrives soon. That means the rest of us who have trucks built can expect ours soon
Just got this from the Ford Service Facebook Chat: "Still no update on your order. Looks like the OK to Buy has gone through for most F-150 models, but I haven't been able to confirm about the Raptors yet. However, I haven't seen any Raptors ship out just yet. Mariel" A little background, mine was built on 10/22/16 and has been sitting on the Ramp ever since...waiting to come to me...
I don't get it. I wish they would just say what the plan is. My dealer told me I am built but that they heard that nothing was shipping until December. I feel bad for you guys that have been built for a month already.
For the hell of it, I looked up my VIN in a vehicle history report found on a generic google search. Based on what I see here, my truck has shipped. When I last spoke with Ford Performance on Monday, they told me it was being loaded on rail. Going to try and confirm with my dealer....
I think Ford Service won't be able to give as accurate information as going straight to Ford Performance.
My truck was built on 10/27. Dealership gave mean arrival date of 11/19. Went to credit union this week and got my financing in order and dealer told me that the truck wasn't going to make it on that day now! Pissed to say the least ! I had him get the rep and find out more. She said that it's TBD now and there may be an issue with the 3.5 ecoboost! Now I'm really pissed. Called ford performance to ask the and they said it's on the ramp waiting for the rail. Don't know what to believe now. Anyone else here the crap on the 3.5 ecoboost ?
I would think that if it were an engine issue they would halt production but the haven't. Not sure what to think.
I really don't think there's a problem with the engine, they have done sooooo much testing with this engine for the last 02 years that I don't think that's the issue. I was told the same thing, truck completed TBD and at the ramp waiting rail. I really do feel and this is one mans opinion. That Ford is holding them until December from their prospective owners till after their big events Baja 1000 and EcoBoost400. Buy the way the EB400 the Raptor is the pace vehicle for the event. There's also a video on you tube and TFL Truck (The Fast lane Truck) where the guy reporting says in the beginning of the video that they were allowed to ride along in the new Raptor, they will not be able to get their hands on one to drive and test because Ford will not release them to the media till early December. So based on all of this info I truly think Ford is holding back deliveries because they don't want a bunch of owners like myself putting out information on social media before they do it officially themselves. And with that they piss off the people that bought these trucks sight unseen.
