I was told the same by my dealer. Can you believe that shit??? You talk about some piss poor planning! Build a truck then figure out you have no way to ship it because it's too wide? WTF is that. Oh btw it's no wider than the gen 1 raptors. They sure as hell figured a way to ship them now didn't they?? What a bunch of dipshits!!!

I'm in the group wanting to fly to Detroit and drive mine back to Houston! Anyone know if this can actually be done? I asked my dealer and he said no way.

Nope, we dont own the trucks until the dealership processes the paperwork, which they wont do until they've taken receipt of it, thus no being allowed to retrieve it from the factory.

If Ford can't move them cause there too wide, then ship them to a local dealer in Detroit and do the transaction and paper there, and let us drive those bad boyz home already. Just give me a temp tag and I will register it when I get it home.

Or call in a load flatbed transports and start moving them out.........LOL.

Damn Skippy, we have enough NCOs and officers on this board to make this happen in a nano second

I just found out the delay is due to a shortage of the 3.5 Eco. I just got a call from corporate asking if is alright for them to substitute a Coyote in there....

I received the same offer from ford. Accepted.. :p
rumors are going to be going crazy until them start shipping our trucks that have been built for weeks now. Might as well sit back and have some fun with it in the meantime IMO

Just got a text message from my dealer saying ""We are expecting the OK To Buy on or about the 16th."

There's no guarantee that the information will turn out to be true, but it's the first time they've provided me with that particular data point, so perhaps there's been some flow of information out into the dealer network.

Take it for what it's worth and don't bet the farm on it.

    Respectfully,

I asked that question and he said they are slightly wider. I know he isn't making this stuff up as he is getting the info from another rep.

Ok let's be real for a minute. Let's just say for shits and giggles that the gen 2 is wider than the gen 1? If I'm a multi billion dollar major automaker like ford you think I would have considered how to ship these trucks long before I start building the som bitches. This ain't rocket science boys. My feeling is this whole too wide shit is complete BULLSHIT
