Hi everyone! I'm a new member. I don't own a raptor yet but am hoping to own a 2017. Is anyone else having trouble with ford's lack of communication with the dealers? It would be nice to know if I'm going to get one on order regardless of the allocations.
Welcome! You will don't worry. They are not limited but they sure are a pain in the arsh to figure out when you will get your truck in. Start looking into the some of the dealers these guys have been ordering from and start ordering. Somewhere in here is the order list. Good luck, brother! September is Fall, and I bet all your Qs will be answered in the next few weeks.
Thanks. Waiting on a dealership now that is supposed to get an answer on Thursday. Apparently dealerships are being told to submit orders and wait for Thursday. If they get a thumbs up then we can change the build the way we want it. I don't get it. You would think a definite sale would be priority over this allotment nonsense.
Most dealers seem to already know what their allocations might be. Many people have had DORA's for over a month. I've had mine for just over 2 weeks. My order is just waiting to be pulled by Ford for scheduling. Not sure what your dealer would be waiting on. UNLESS, they are hoping Thursday brings more info on the next round of allocations (seeing that it is Sept 1st - a New Month) If your dealer didn't have any to begin with, each month is another shot to get some. If they had some originally, they may have taken them as dealer stock or RETAIL orders already. Have you asked if they already filled their first round of allocations? From what I understand ~ Allocations are given out monthly. While other people throw the terms around of an "Allocation for MY2017" (Model Year 2017). I don't know which one is correct for Raptors. Make sure to post that info when you get it on Thursday!

Thank you for the post. Thursday came and went with no word from 2 dealerships. Hopefully hear something tomorrow. Both dealerships have been on the phone nonstop with the ford rep. Thanks for the welcome. Can't wait to get an answer. I need xanax
Going to dealer on Tuesday night after work to put a build in and a deposit down. Both dealers say there hasn't been a guarantee from the ford rep but I'm doing it anyway. I'm sick of the lack of answers so I'm making the move. My dealer said the deposit is fully refundabe if the build fails. Wish me luck my FR2 friends!
Good news, just found out today that Ford has accepted my dealers Raptor order, next step is for them to issue VIN # which could be as soon as next week...
